DIRECTOR
Starting salary: £31,000-£33,000 (SJC spinal points 37-40)
Fixed-term contract:  through March 2012 with possibility of extension,
dependent on funding
Based in: Scottish Fair Trade Forum office, Edinburgh
Secondment and Job Sharing will be considered 

The Scottish Fair Trade Forum is looking for a new Director to continue its dynamic growth and success, achieved over the past three years by the current post-holder, who is moving on. 

The successful candidate will play a key role in setting strategic direction with the organisation's Board. The new Director will oversee planning and implementation of the SFTF's budgetary, financial, staff and volunteer management and fundraising, communications and operational strategies. 

The successful candidate must possess exceptional communications, interpersonal and strategic skills to maximise the impact of SFTF resources as a small organisation, to enable Scotland's Fair Trade movement to grow and achieve the 'Final Push' for Scotland to become the world's second Fair Trade Nation by 2012. The new Director's ability to identify opportunities for organisational growth, fundraising and new partnerships will provide resources to ensure the Fair Trade Nation achievement is sustainable. 

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a strong empathy with the values of the Fair Trade movement, be computer literate and have a full driving licence.
